Similar to other comments, it's a really well made prototype! Great for a first game, keep it up. A few bugs: building on top of a guy traps him. Surrounding a building with other buildings renders that center building inaccessible and renders its troops/miners useless. I think both of these can be quickly fixed by allowing buildings to be movable.
Font makes it difficult to tell numbers apart; similar to what dogchair said in a different comment. Just a few minor QoL things, but the gameplay loop itself is fun!
Thanks for the feedback! I fixed both building issues on this new update. You can move buildings now, placement is blocked when a unit is underneath, and the game will not let you completely cut off access to a lodge or barracks. I also changed the font used for the important numbers
This is a great start! I'm excited to see what you add.
UI
Sometimes, especially at the edge of the screen, the pointer finger of the mouse cursor and the head of the pick cursor do not match up. This makes it really hard to manually mine.
The font makes it difficult to distinguish numbers. I could not tell the difference between the 3 and 8, or the 5 and 2 at first glance.
Gameplay
That was a satisfying but short loop. I definitely agree with another poster that we should be able to move mining lodges, or at least destroy and replace them. Sometimes the pathfinding for the soldiers and the monsters would be a bit silly and they would walk parallel to each other. I wish there were more upgrades and relics besides just move faster or dealing more damage. The best combat relic being locked behind the final boss is also not useful, as there's nothing left to do with it after that.
Bugs
I had a worker stuck inside a miner's lodge until the end of the game. I'm not sure if it got inside by accident, or if I accidentally placed the lodge on top of it.
Thanks so much for the detailed feedback. Now we have building movement and prevents placements that would trap units or completely block access to lodges and barracks. I changed the font for the important numbers and reworked combat targeting and movement so units should stop running alongside or past each other so much.
I also added three relics with mining, carrying and healing effects. The final boss reward is now a mining relic. I still need to investigate the cursor offset near the edges of the screen.
Hey, really glad that you enjoyed the game! Actually your suggestion of moving the buildings makes a lot of sense, I'll keep in mind. Thank for the feedback!
I second that idea. Dwarf miners (possibly soldiers too, but didn't happen to me) can get stuck between buildings if you cram them together, moving buildings will serve many uses.
Minecarts could be an interesting system. For this update I went with moving buildings because it also fixes accidental placements and blocked paths, but for sure i will be prototyping a minecart idea

I finished the game. The game is fun, but nothing deep. Of course you'll work a lot on it.
What I think is you need to find an original game mecanism about how, where, why mining.
I think it's cool to keep it simple, only gold and not 10 kinds of ore, or too much kind of units, so you can focus on how to build the mountain.

Building on top of a guy appears to trap him.
Progress doesn't save.
You're right, currently we don't have this feature, but working on it!
Got the same bug. Have to wait he get killed by some ennemies.
Yeah, it was the same placement bug. On this update blocks building on top of units, so you will not have to wait for them to die anymore.
This new update prevents placing buildings on top of units and also lets you move buildings that are already placed. Thanks for reporting it.

Cool game i liked it. It kinda fun clearing the map. It would be nice to have a way to move or demolish buildings.

I don't think it's a good Idea, I better like the Idea we can build some minecart.
